Rajesh Kumar, Founder
Rajesh Kumar is a multi-domain consultant with over 25 years of experience in public safety systems, institutional reforms, governance modernization, innovation lifecycle management, cybercrime support operations, and social impact program design.
His career spans strategic advisory, program execution, documentation support, innovation management, and citizen-centric service design — working closely with government departments, enforcement agencies, civil society organizations, and CSR partners.
Rajesh is known for his ground-level clarity, documentation rigor, and process structuring ability, bringing together policy vision with implementable frameworks. He is the founder of GovernanceFirst India, a platform dedicated to helping institutions “simplify governance and empower delivery.”
Professional Journey
Rajesh began his career in the private sector, working across industrial operations and business process outsourcing, before moving into large-scale recruitment, livelihoods, and HR consulting with national programs under NRLM (BRLPS, MSRLM, KSRLM) UNDP (Pankh Programme), and National Innovation Recognition programmes such as the FICCI-Millennium Alliance.
At TMI Group, with whom he worked for 14 years, he led the Government Vertical and played a critical role in executing projects focused on employment, capacity building, and HR process institutionalization.
In 2019, he pivoted into governance and public safety consulting, where he has since contributed to some of Telangana’s most strategic internal security, women safety, and cyber governance initiatives.
He has been closely associated with the Telangana Police, Women Safety Wing, CID, Anti-Corruption Bureau, TGFSL, and Telangana State Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) on numerous modernization and institutionalization efforts. Rajesh has also contributed to the setting up of India's first 1930 call centre in Telangana, a model that was later replicated across the country under the I4C brand umbrella. He was also instrumental is designing, budgeting, pitching and getting the Safe City Projects for Hyderabad funded through MHA. He led the programme as the Programme Manager during its initial years as well.
